The Iranian Association for United Nations Studies (IAUNS) is Iran’s leading source of independent studies on the UN and a nation-wide scientific organization. IAUNS is a non-governmental organization and scientific association active since 2000 under authorization by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. IAUNS believes that rigorous scientific debate on UN, international relations, international law and global issues is essential to further the discussion on having a strong, credible and effective UN for “we the people of the United Nations determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war”. IAUNS furthers Iranian understanding and perspective of the United Nations with an emphasis on understanding Iran-UN relations and how global issues are important to us.
